My story

Rita's life started out rough. She was found as stray, young and pregnant and without a home. A family took her in and she had her puppies, but they couldn’t keep Rita, so they dropped her off at their local shelter. There Ratbone found this wonderful, sweet girl. As you can see in some of her pictures, Rita was skin and bones. She was such a sad little girl. But now Rita is in her foster home and eating like crazy! She is probably about 1 ½ years old, and once she has gained weight she will probably be about 12 pounds. Rita has pretty long legs, a little stub tail, and the cutest little face. She seems to really like cats and even submits to them! Her little tail wags like crazy when she meets anyone. Rita loves all the other dogs in her foster home, and really loves people, too. As she has become stronger she has become more playful and outgoing. Rita is really a wonderful little dog. She is doing well with potty training, too! Rita likes to snuggle after play time, and she follows along with what all the other dogs are doing. Everyone that meets this little gal just falls in love.
