*** LOCATED IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ***
My name is Juno. I was dumped at a shelter by my owner who should never have had a dog. He was mean to me, hardly ever fed me and never played with me. The best thing he ever did for me was to dump me in a high kill shelter. I had pretty much given up my will to live at that point since all I had known since I was a pup was neglect. I didn't realize there was anything to live for until this nice rescue group came and pulled me out of the shelter when I was on the brink of death. They were nice to me, took me to the doctor and got me all fixed up. I wasn't sure what to think of it all at first.
It's taken me a while but I am starting to realize that humans aren't all bad. In fact, all of the ones I have met since have been wonderful to me. I am still a little shy around strangers, but I am a nice, sweet boy. I really like other dogs, don't really mind cats and love people I get to know. I really need someone who will love me, pet me, play with me and be patient with me. I would prefer a home with other animals because I feel safer and more secure with other animals around. I really hope someone will give me a chance at a forever home.
I am around 3 years old, up to date on shots and neutered.
