My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATED BIO 07/29/2011: Hi everyone - Addie here. I am 5 years old and weigh 9 lbs; I am being fostered in Punta Gorda, FL. I am a playful, totally loveable, silly girl who loves to be held and cuddled. Guess ya’ll heard I came in with hundreds of icky, nasty ticks on me that were eating me alive…..but there’s good news! They are almost gone and Foster Mom is taking me to the dogter today where I will get all my shots. FM gave me a nice bath this morning at 12 am, because I was so uncomfortable. Now I am feeling better. Did I mention I am housetrained? Yup, I am – see how smart I am? Even though I spent all of my life in a cage - outside in the hot hot Florida sun, I am smart enough to know that when I am in the house, I need to go potty outside.

Right now as FM is typing, I am sitting in her lap crying……not because I’m sad, but because I am so HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY to finally be loved – that’s all I ever wanted. When she stops typing, I get petted; ooooooh.....that feels so good. I love to play a little rough-house with other dogs, and FM says that means I can be placed in a home with another dog. But cats…..hmmmm, I’m still not sure about the resident cat. I wanna play with her, and she thinks I’m too rough. I know you are out there, and your home… I would love! Could I be your forever Addie?

INITIAL BIO 7/26/11: Please meet Addie (our newest 5 yr old/9lb foster girl). She was kept in a cage in Florida heat and nobody bothered to shield her from the 300+ ticks that were eating her alive. She is a happy pup, but she is very anemic. Addie didn't deserve this. Could you be her happily ever after?
