Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jackson has a blog!!: http://ismilewithmytail.wordpress.com
08/06/2011: Jackson received a clean bill of health from the vet this morning - other than we want him to lose about 20lbs. No concerns with knees, hips, back, eyes, ears, teeth, heart, lungs. All good.
08/02/2011: Jackson is proving himself to be something of an escape artist. We will require that the lucky person or family that adopts him be able to provide a secure environment, including a fenced and securely gated yard, and a watchful eye. He does love to explore!
07/30/2011: Jackson just came into rescue yesterday and he made a big splash ... literally ... he REALLY gets into his water bowl on a hot summer day!! Jackson is a great, mellow dog who wants nothing more than to be by his people and to play a little fetch and release. He is great with other dogs and is not a jumper or barker.
Jackson is on the large size - 119 pounds as of today. Our goal for Jackson is for him to lose about 20 pounds. He will need a yard to run in and someone willing to throw the ball for him or take him to the dog park or lake. We can tell he will be a real swimmer, so if you have a lake cabin, he might just be the new family member you are looking for. This is one handsome dog -- when you look into his eyes you can tell there is an old soul looking back at you.
Because of his large size we do not recommend him for a home with small children. Sometimes he does not recognize how large he is and he may accidentally knock over a child as he is turning around or walking through a group of people.
Please consider making Jackson a permanent member of your family. We think he is amazing!
