8/20/2011: My name is Daisey I love the water. I love to play in the sprinkler, lay in my own pool, or go to the lake and swim with you. I enjoy being snuggled and talked to. I also love going places.
6-6-11: It has been almost one month since Daisey's hip surgery. For her physical therapy we are swimming and going on short walks to strengthen her hips. Daisey loves to swim, and play in the sprinkler. She also likes to lounge in her chair in the water when she wears out. Daisey has been very anxious to get moving around and would be great for a family that will include her in fun activities, but needs a family that understands that Daisey has limitations on what she can do. Daisey will also need regular check up with a vet to make sure her hip progress is going as planned. Daisey loves to snuggle and comes and gets kisses whenever she can.
5-13-11: Daisey had hip dysplasia surgery this week and is recovering slowly. She saw Dr. Wiseman this morning and he was happy with her progress but wants her to start walking a little more. Daisey will have several months of recovery time. After a few weeks she will be able to go to a home that is willing to continue her physical therapy and to keep her with Springfield Veterinary Center for her follow up care which will be several months. Donations to help pay for Daisey's surgery can be done directly at Springfield Veterinary Center.
4-15-11: Daisey has hit a bump in the road. She healed up fine from being hit by a car but started showing signs of other issues. After x-rays, it was determined she has hip dysplasia. At this time, we are treating with medication to get the inflamation down and see how severe it is. Surgery is likely in Daisey's future so that she can have a long and happy life. Surgery is expensive for hip dysplasia and is a long recovery. Keep watching for updates as we will know middle of next month if surgery has to be done or if she will just have to be in medication for the rest of her life.

Daisey is doing well in her foster home. She enjoys playing with her family and going on walks daily. We are currently working on some obedience training. Daisey does well with cats and other small animals. She enjoys being outside playing with her toys and going for car rides.
Daisey was transferred to us from a local shelter where she was found as a stray and hit by a car. She is being seen by our vet to assess injuries if any. If well enough, she will be spayed and brought current on her shots. She has been placed in a foster home for healing and so that we can learn about her personality. Once we know more about her, we will update her profile.
