5-20-2011 UPDATE: Doo is coming out of her shell in her foster home. She loves to get attention, but she wants to approach you first. She is quickly learning that humans are nice and that she can trust them. She is making progress on house training, but still has some work to go. She likes to keep her crate neat and tidy, so no accidents in there. She is getting along well with the boxers and older yorkie in her foster home, but sometimes gets nervous when they play or get too loud. Because of this we don't think she would do well in a home with small children. Check for updates often, because this little girl is going to keep getting better and should be ready for her forever home soon!
Doolittle was just transferred to us from a local shelter where she was taken after being seized by the Department of Agriculture. She has been in a puppy mill situation and is very nervous of people. She has been vetted, teeth checked, spayed and put in a foster home to work on her trust of people. The poor girl is shaved and the story why is unknown as she was shaved prior to seizure. With patience and time, her beautiful schnauzer coat will grow back. Stayed tuned for updates regarding her progress in her foster home.
