Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
THIS DOG CURRENTLY HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING.
Please check back later to verify status.
Hi, my name is Bugs Buddy or "Buddy" for short. I am a Rat Terrier/Jack Russell mix between 2 and 3 years old. I'm just a little guy, weighing only 9.5 pounds, but I'm all terrier! I love to play with my tennis ball and my rope toy. I'll play fetch for hours when I'm not playing with all my foster siblings. I play well with large and small dogs (even puppies), but I'm not too fond of cats. I like to chase them but don't hurt them. My fostermom is teaching me to be softer with my mouth, since I play too rough sometimes. (I'm getting much better at it.) I can walk on a leash like a good boy and I sleep in my crate every night and when my foster family is away. I'm house trained and know some basic commands like "sit," plus I'm working on learning more. I love to give kisses and sit in my fostermom's lap. I'd love to find a new family with kids so I can have lots of playtime...my fostermom says I might be too rough for small kids, though. A canine brother or sister would be great, too! I'm a very happy boy who loves to meet new people. Sometimes I "skip" on my back legs but the vet said I'm A-OK. I'd like to find a forever home with a family to love and protect.
OUR ADOPTION FEE is $150 ($175 for puppies younger than 6 months; $200 for American Hairless Terriers).
QUESTIONS ABOUT ADOPTION? Read the "Adoption Process" section below!
IS THIS DOG AVAILABLE? If the bio above doesn't say that there's an adoption pending, then YES! he or she IS available. As soon as we approve an application, we'll post it, so you will NOT get more current info by emailing us to ask if the dog is available. To "get in line" to adopt or get more details, you MUST CLICK HERE to submit an Adoption Application.
QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS DOG?The email address on this page is for website-related issues ONLY. For answers to specific questions about a particular dog, you MUST submit an Adoption Application! That is the only way to access the fosterparent for this particular dog, who is the only person who can answer specifics about this dog's personality or geographic location. (Our dogs are located in private fosterhomes around the state, and we do not provide those addresses on the Internet or to casual inquiries, and you cannot just "drop by" to see a dog without prearranging it with the fosterhome.) Because we are an all-volunteer organization and receive a very high volume of inquiries, we can only respond personally to people who have demonstrated a serious interest in adoption by filling out our application.
