My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Born to Dream recently retired from racing at the track in Wheeling, WV. Joey's been with us a little over a month now, and it's really been fun watching him blossom. Well, he hasn't blossomed TOO much. He's not a wild and crazy, high energy guy. He still won't take treats from our hands, doesn't actually come when called, and if he doesn't want to move for whatever reason, he's pretty darn solid. But he is making good progress, and there is something incredibly endearing about him. He's such a gentle, trusting, patient soul. He's yet to bark, is NEVER snarky, and seems very fond of the other 4 Greys and 3 cats. Sometimes, he'll play! And even though this might not be good---he gets in bed with Doug and snuggles! The tail, which was usually between his legs, is up and waving about, especially when I come home. And he's good to kiss! That's what I tell him all the time---You're good to kiss, Joe---because he seems to love being kissed on top of his head. And hugged. And petted. He also loves the doggie pool at our friend's house---going in on his own, and laying there for 5 minutes. On the 4th of July, my own dogs were more freaked out by the fireworks than he was. He still looks very introverted, but there is a lot going on in there. Still waters run deep---just look at those eyes. Such a good, good boy he is.
