My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

7/10/11: Give a warm welcome to Miles!

Miles and his 4 other siblings were born under the care of Sadie Mae Foundation Animal Rescue League Inc. Volunteers have been raising them from the time they took their first breath - and now they are ready to be adopted!

Miles is a typical puppy. He is almost 8 weeks old. Miles' mom is a small spaniel, so we anticipate Miles will be a smaller dog as well. We do not know what size or breed the puppies' father was.

Like any puppy, Miles is looking for a family that will work on obedience training with him. Miles' foster mom has been teaching him potty training. Whoever adopts Miles will need to continue that training.

Miles is a healthy puppy, active and mischievous. He would do fine in a home with other animals.

Interested in meeting and possibly adopting this puppy? Fill-out an online adoption application via www.sadiemaefoundation.org. $350 adoption donation, reference check and home visit are required prior to adoption. Once the puppy is of an age where s/he can be spayed/neutered, adopters will be refunded $50 when proof of spay/neuter is provided to the rescue.

While in the care of the Sadie Mae Foundation, all puppies are given age-appropriate vaccines and dewormed. Other medical treatments may be provided to puppies, depending upon their specific needs.

Info. about Sadie Mae Foundation's adoption process
Please note that we do not ship animals or do same-day adoptions. Additionally, we ordinarily limit adoptions to homes within CT or no more than an hour or so drive from Hartford, CT in order to be able to conduct a home visit and provide follow-up assistance when necessary. Exceptions are considered on a case-by-case basis.

We try to make our adoption process as easy and painless as possible, but please understand where we are coming from and all of the work that goes into rescuing and rehoming homeless animals. We don't want them to go through this again. Visit www.sadiemaefoundation.org to learn about the adoption process in detail.

If you are not in a position to adopt a pet that tugs at your heart strings, consider sponsoring its care. Click here for details.
