Here's what the humans have to say about me:
***COURTESY POST*** Please respond to Another One Saved for more information on this pet:
"I adopted Cooper as a pup at 3 months old. He is a great dog and wants to be with you all the time.
He is silly and goofy and very puppish. My 19 yr old son picks him up and holds him. He also sits on the
floor and puts Cooper on his back cradling him. Cooper loves socks and will take them out of the laundry
basket off the floor, etc...and thinks he found treasure when he gets a sock. He also loves chapstick and
will take it out of your purse, off the night stand, etc...I am able to put my hand in his mouth and retrieve the
socks or chapstick from the back of his throat. He is very gentle. Cooper loves a soft bed. He is not allowed
on the furniture, but will occassionally sneak up there. It has helped by putting a very cushy bed in his crate.
He loves to swim and go with you.
I am only looking for a home for Cooper because I also have a 10 year old cranky female JRT. She is very bossy and
an Alpha female. The two mix like oil and water. Cooper takes no guff from her and she gets in his face constantly.
So he needs to be with a younger and more laid back breed that likes to play.
Cooper is happy to lay on the floor at your feet and just hang out. As long as he has had his daily exercise, he is very
mellow.
He should not be with cats or small dogs. He needs someone who can be strong pack leader.
I really am sad to give him up. But for my kids sake, it is necessary. I had a yellow lab and my JRT before I adopted Cooper.
My husband died a few years ago and my dogs were lying one on each side of him when we found him. Unfortunately, my
beloved yellow lab (Maggie) had to be put down last year when her kidneys failed. My kids were devastated. My son went to
the vet with me and we stayed with Maggie until the end. Cooper and Ginny have gotten into several fights. I am afraid that
Ginny (my JRT) will get killed. She won't back down and provokes it. My kids have lost their dad, and our Lab. I don't think they
could handle losing Ginny too. It is unfair and heartbreaking, but I have made the decision that we need to rehome Cooper.
He is a terrific family dog and companion.
Peggy"
