Hello friends!
My name is Sebastian and I am an 8 month old Shih Tzu / Poodle Mix male who is looking for a kind and loving home to call my own. I came to Waggs & Wishes Animal Rescue when my family dropped me off at a vet clinic and said they didn't want me anymore. I had so many terrible mats in my fur that the vet had to shave my body fur because the mats were so bad I couldn't fully move my legs to walk. I feel much better now, but I still have to wait for my silly hair cut to grow back. :-)
Because of my history, I'm a shy little fella who needs a family who will be calm and gentle with me as I learn my surroundings. I don't mind other dogs as long as they are not pushy and overbaring - my foster siblings that I live with right now are perfect - we sniff each other, and then we go on about our day. It's not that I dont like other dogs, they just scare me a bit and I need someone to help me gain some confidence. Cats are OK with me - I promise not to bother them.
I walk nicely on a leash and know how to sit, I'm almost 100% potty trained, but I still have accidents in new places unless you take me outside a few times a day to get me used to my surroundings and new schedule. I need a home with older kids (12+) because their quick movements and loud voices will scare me.
I am the biggest snuggler you will ever see! I sleep in my foster moms bed, whoops, I wasn't supposed to tell you that, anyways I love to snugle and I just curl up into a little ball and sleep the whole night through. I love being with humans and I attach very quickly to my humans. I follow my foster mom everywhere she goes, and when she sits down, I just quietly curl up in a ball at her feet. I'm still a puppy, so I have a lot to learn, but with the right kind and gentle family to teach me, I know that I will grow up to be the most perfect puppy cuddler ever!
