My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rio is a very lovely Blue & Gold Macaw that loves to be the center of attention. He warms up to people rather quickly. He loves to be petted and will give kisses. Rio has a very sweet disposition but can show aggression if he doesn't know you or if he doesn't want to interact. Rio is also a feather mutilator and will chew his feathers down to the quill at times. He currently has no tail and has mutilated most of his primary and secondary wing feathers. His body feathers have improved greatly and are not mutilated or plucked. He will grow his tail and wing feathers but will chew them if he gets upset. Rio is currently being evaluated for a collar and is on a behavior modification regiment. Rio is known not to like men or children. He will need a home that understands macaw's and someone that can be diligent in continuing behavior modification with him. Rio is reported to be around 12 years old. Gender is not confirmed.
