Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
This is an assisted placement - please contact Theresa at tmp@redprairiedg.com or 405-640-2007 for more information or to adopt Rufus (and Abby).
Hi my name is Rufus and my biological sister is Abby. I am a great beagle! I love to play fetch, go for walks, explore and chase squirrels. I am very loving and wish I could be a lap dog, although I do know I am a little big for that. Sometimes I am scared of a lot of people because I was mistreated when I was little. Once I do meet you and my current family says you are ok then you become my best friend. I am fully housebroken, crate trained and know simple commands. Did I mention I like kids?
I am desperately trying to relocate my dogs to a new home. 6 ½ years ago my husband and I saved our 2 dogs (beagles) from the pound. Abby and Rufus are beagle mixes and a loving part of our family. They are house broken, crate trained, spayed/neutered and up to date on their shots. A year and a half ago our son joined our family and our dogs happily welcomed him. For the last 18 months we have been dealing with him having allergic reactions, swelling, rashes and breathing problems. We have finally identified that he is in fact allergic to our dogs. The dogs were moved outside last year b/c we suspected that was the problem, by the way we also brush them and bathe them regularly. Their dander is still getting in our house and our doctor said that he is on all the medicine he can take and that we needed to get rid of them. We are more than willing to pay for them to be fostered since the last thing we want to do is bring them back to the pound although that is looking like our only option. Please let me know if you can help in any way!!
