A note from Hazel: Hello world. You seem so big & scary to me yet I know my foster family has told me I don't have to be afraid anymore. BREW has taken good care of me but someone was very very mean to me in my previous life & I have a hard time trusting people, namely men. Once I get over my shyness with people I am one of the most loving & dedicated dogs you will meet. I will cuddle up right next to you on the couch (or in bed!). I get along very well with kid's but I do not initiate any playing with them so kid's are not a must have in my forever family. I love other dogs that is for sure! I almost forgot to tell you I am totally house & crate trained too. My ideal home would be one full of love, patience and understanding. Every night before I close my eyes I thank God for bringing me to BREW & pray that he will find me a special home someday soon. Hazel came to BREW Midwest very pregnant and scared to death of humans. The first visit to the vet's told a sad story. Poor miss Hazel was loaded with pellets and she most likely was used for target practice. To top things off, she was diagnosed Heartworm positive. Hazel has gone through her heartworm treatment and is now ready to find her forever home. She will need to be on heartworm preventative year round for the rest of her life.
