My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Skye is a 7 year old Lab whose zest for life and companionship are evident in her constant smile and tail-wagging!! Skye loves everyone she meets and has a wonderful way of really making you feel good about yourself. Whether fetching a ball, going for a walk, a ride in the car or simply lying by your side in front of the t.v., Skye is a constant companion who reminds you to cherish each moment...
It is unfathomable how her family could have dropped her off at the pound for euthanasia...simply because they didn't want a dog anymore. To think that this pure soul was only moments from dying is too much for any of us to bear. There is so much goodness in her, it would have been a tragedy for this world to have lost such a wonderful being...
Being around Skye, it's impossible to be in a bad mood. She is happy ALL the time and bears no resentment for what happened to her. Instead, she greets each day with enthusiasm and each person she meets with warmth, affection and love.
Recently Skye had a mammary tumor removed, and though it was cancerous, the prognosis is optimistic--just like Skye!! We will not let this get us down as we know that Skye is meant to bless this earth for years to come. She is taking herbal supplements and will return for follow-ups in 3 and 6 months. While we are confident that she will continue to do well and be cancer-free, we know that wherever the Path leads, she will be ready to share it wholeheartedly with whoever adopts her. Like Skye, we hope to find a family who will want her unconditionally. After all, love is the greatest healer on earth.
If you would like to look into her big brown eyes and fall in love, please contact Kathy or Kim at LABRESCUECT@aol.com or dogresqr@yahoo.com
