Here's what the humans have to say about me:
June 2011
We have been fostering Simba, who is approximately 7 years old, for about three months now. We also have 2 female boxers ages 3 and 5 and he is wonderful with them. He has had a few problems when he first meets some male dogs, but the ones he has had the change to get to know he has ultimately been fine with. He knows all of his basic commands and we have been introducing hand signals to go along with them. He is a very sweet boy and he gives the most wonderful hugs. He can at times be a bit pushy but he is very easy to verbally redirect. Simba is not good with small children as younger kids tend to overwhelm him, so we are looking to place him in a home with adults. He loves to go for walks and is quite a gentleman with a no-pull harness on. Because Simba can be a pushy Boxer, we are looking for an experienced forever home that knows how to take control and be a solid leader to Simba. Meet Simba, what a handsome boy! Simba is coming to us from a shelter where he was surrendered to by his family. The Shelter tells us that once you spend some quality time with Simba, you will find that any assumption you may hold regarding his age is doubtful. They say this handsome boy is playful, sits and downs eagerly on command and reveals the energy of a youngster. An easy companion for an after-dinner stroll, Simba is a true treasure. Simba shows great manners around his dinner bowl, and generously shares all of his toys. Please check back for updates on Simba once we get him settled into a foster home.
