My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Do you believe in Miracles? We do, and so does this sweet Beagle mix appropriately named "Miracle" by the shelter staff. Miracle's story is truly a sad one. She and her 12 sick puppies were dumped at a rural shelter by her owner because they had mange--a skin condition cause by tiny parasitic mites. Poor Miracle had almost no fur left and was in terribly neglected condition. One by one, all of Miracle's puppies died--most likely from parasites and poor condition. Miracle captured the hearts of the shelter staff who were determined to help her get out. She was spared euthanasia many times. They treated her skin condition and her fur has gradually grown back. Through it all Miracle remained as sweet and gentle a dog as there could ever be. After nearly 3 months in the shelter Miracle is finally safe with us.

We think Miracle is an adult dog and weighs about 23 pound. She is current on routine vaccinations, spayed, heartworm neg. (on monthly preventative) and micro-chipped. With a healthy diet and some TLC Miracle's fur now has a glossy shine and is soft to touch. She is quickly becoming just as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside!

Miracle is truly a special girl. She is a gentle soul and has an enormous amount of love to give. She is quiet and just a little bit shy, but warms right up once she gets to know you. Please continue to check back for updated photos!
