Jack Sparrow is a fun loving dog looking for a new guardian who can provide him with the love and exercise that he needs. Poor Jack lost his owner, a young man, who moved away from the family and his parents could no longer care for his puppy. Jack became a shelter's favorite immediately after his arrival. All the volunteers wanted to walk and play with Jack. But Jack was in an overcrowded high-kill shelter and in danger of being euthanised. In their efforts to save this lovely puppy, the shelter staff called us to let us know about this "diamond in the rough" and we rescued him immediately. Jack is a VERY sweet and smart boy, all-white with amazing light gray spots sprinkled thoughout, except for one handsome black patch over his left eye. Jack is 8 months, 40lbs, a true handsome American Staffordshire Terrier / Pointer Mix that will most likely be 60 pounds when full grown. Jack is at a great age to learn obedience training. He is Gentle Leader leash trained and is learning to defer to people and basic commands. Because he's very food-oriented, a patient owner with lots of treats could have Jack following any commands in no time. Jack is good with kids, dogs and cats. He is house trained and crate trained. He loves to take naps in his crate and sleeps in it at night. Drop by and meet our handsome Jack Sparrow!
