Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Huckleberry was left at veterinarians office with a front left dangling leg. His owners had let him run free, and to their credit, he probably was an escape artist. That leg was a dangling prop for nearly a year. The vet was told to euthanize him. Surgery was beyond their means. His sweet temperament and general health held everyone under his spell and a plea went out. Catahoula Rescue saw that plea, and this dog in MN caught the eye of a Ga friend and she offered to foster. His leg could not be saved so it was amputated by Catahoula Rescue Inc, and he was transported to GA, where he proceeded to get into trouble in the foster home with crate escaping. So we moved him into a lovely foster home where they had rescued another 3 legged amuptee from Catahoula Rescue and another female Catahoula as well. They knew how to take care of his special needs and we got an escape proof crate. This dog is well worth the work and cost. He is sweet, gets along with most other dogs, he doesn't know he is special needs so please don't tell him. He is NOT good with cats. He has Catahoula hunting drive. Good with kids and good in his crate now. A handsome boy with plenty of personality and sweetness. If you think he might be just your best furever friend, please email Janeen Jackson jj4@midrivers.com or Robin Post robin_post@yahoo.com for a link to our adopt application. Filling out our adopt application is a first good step, you are not obligated in any way but it helps us get acquainted with you household to see if he is indeed a match.
** PLEASE NOTE** This dog is fostered in PA
