My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Teddy! I'm a 5 year old, white Pekingese. My former owners didn't want to treat me for an eye problem. They kept me as an outside dog and really didn't take very good care of me. I had fleas really bad, they made me itch like crazy, too! Instead of paying for surgery to remove my eye, they wanted to put me to sleep! I have many good years ahead of me and I am so glad that Barsha, my foster mom, asked to take me. She is fostering me, but can't keep me because she has too many other pets. I can see fine with only one eye, that isn't a problem. My remaining eye will need treatment with an ointment, but I don't think that is a big deal either! I am a calm dog and my foster mom and the people at the clinic all said that I am sweet! I get along fine with other dogs, cats and kids, too. I love all the attention and TLC that I am getting now! I am crate-trained and Barsha is working with me on house-training.
