Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Layla Ali is a 5 month old Female ferret. Upon her arrival to the shelter, Layla was very thin. She came in with her sister, who almost died. Staff have worked hard with Layla and her sister to get them to the point where they are healthy enough to adopt out.
Due to poor socialization skills (and possibly also, in part, to the condition she was in when she arrived at the shelter), Layla is a bit of a nipper. With some work, however, the staff feels that Layla can be trained to change the not-so-desirable aspects of her behavior.
Although they are both healthy enough to adopt, the ferrets are listed as special needs because they will need several followup veterinary visits to ensure that they haven't sustained permanent health problems as a result of their condition upon their arrival to the shelter.
Since Layla arrived with her sister and they have such a close bond, we would prefer that the two of them were adopted together.
