My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Paulie is a VERY large Rattie (almost 46 lbs.), probably of the Decker type. He is almost 2 years old and is an active young man with a tremendous amount of energy. He needs a family with lots of time to devote to playing with him and loving this big fella!. Paulie MUST have a big fenced yard to run in, as he is not content to spend most of the day lounging indoors. He is always exploring and looking for ways to get in trouble. He can be intimidating to smaller kids (under 12 years) but he is not the least bit aggressive. In fact, when visitors arrive he hides behind his fostermom until he is sure the new people are friendly! Once he is comfortable, he loves to get attention. Paulie needs at least one other canine companion, as he would be very lonely as an only dog. He gets along well with his Rattie siblings. He especially loves to play with the 12-lb. female (He is really good with her, and they play tag and chase each other around), though he can be a bit too much for the older males. Paulie sits for treats, and when he wants attention he sometimes ''mouths,'' but we are helping him work on that. Paulie needs a family that will be patient with a BIG boy with endless energy. Although he's rather shy for such a big boy, he is not a lap dog, Are you the family to see all the potential in this great fellow?

OUR ADOPTION FEE is $150 ($175 for puppies younger than 12 months; $200 for American Hairless Terriers).

IS THIS DOG AVAILABLE? If the bio above doesn't say that there's an adoption pending, then YES! he or she IS available. As soon as we approve an application, we'll post it, so you will NOT get more current info by emailing us to ask if the dog is available. To "get in line" to adopt or get more details, you MUST CLICK HERE to submit an Adoption Application.

QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS DOG?
The email address on this page is for website-related issues ONLY. For answers to specific questions about a particular dog, you MUST submit an Adoption Application! That is the only way to access the fosterparent for this particular dog, who is the only person who can answer specifics about this dog's personality or geographic location. (Our dogs are located in private fosterhomes around the state, and we do not provide those addresses on the Internet or to casual inquiries, and you cannot just "drop by" to see a dog without prearranging it with the fosterhome.) Because we are an all-volunteer organization and receive a very high volume of inquiries, we can only respond personally to people who have demonstrated a serious interest in adoption by filling out our application.
