Pepe is one of the most loyal dogs we have ever had in our rescue he stays right next to his foster Mom or Dad at all times, to us he is our Hachiko he will be the dog that waits for you faithfully until the end. A home that understands this boys total loyalty to them and they to him is needed.
Pepe is also a playboy, oh oh, meaning he loves to play with toys and is his own playmate, throwing them up in the air and tossing them everywhere and then chasing after them.
Pepe loves to be with his human and go for walks. Pepe is in his foster home with other dogs and one other same size dog in the home would be fine
Pepe will stand back and watch what his foster Mom wants from him, he has amazing eye contact with his human and can be trained to do anytthing because he just wants to please his human.
Pepe is a little shy until he is comfortable with new people but is a total love bug once he trusts you. His eyes tell you he is nervous but his body and the lean towards you says pet me.
He will quietly gravitate to a bed next to where his foster Mom is and sit there waiting for a look, a pet or gentle hand, he lies at my feet as I write this, constantly alert just in case I need him.
Pepe came to us after his elderly male owner went into a rehabilitation center after falling and his family felt Pepe needed to find a new home. Pepe walks like a show dog, a prancing Poodle
Requirements to adopt Pepe
A fenced in or very safe yard for running and playing
Like to give tummy rubs (I love them)
A retired or work from home person would be the best home for me
Like to go for walks
No children, I am too shy and sensitive for the hustle and bustle
Poodles need to go to a professional groomer every 6-8 weeks at a cost of about $50, so please factor that into the costs associated with dog ownership.
