My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gretchen is a about a year. She was found as a stray...pregnant with THIRTEEN puppies! She is now WONDERFUL with other dogs and very loving and playful with people as well. She is a wiggle butt who's tail is ALWAYS wagging!

She has bonded with her foster mom, but isnt needy. Meaning she really wants to be with her people, but doesnt have anxiety about being left on her own. She's outgoing and loves to make new friends. She was once protective of her food, but can now be fed with other dogs and is well behaved!!! Life on the streets can make a hungry dog protective of any food they obtain...even once they dont have to feel the pain of an empty stomach anymore, but Gretchi is now fat and sassy and has realized she will never have to worry about going hungry again.

Gretch is always alert to what is going on around her. She would love to be a companion for someone who is on the road and needs a friend, a family with another dog looking for a rough and tumble playmate or perhaps someone who does alot of hiking or works from home.

This gorgeous red girl is average size and about 35-40 pounds. She loves to cuddle and is CRAZY about car rides.

Her best friend is another female dog, so she would be suitable as a companion for either a male or female dog.
