Here's what the humans have to say about me:
MuttSavers Rescue Adoption Event, May 28, 11:00 to 3:00, PetCo Broomfield, 120th & Sheridan, 12163 Sheridan Blvd., Broomfield, 80020. Take exit 223 off I25.
MuttSavers Rescue encourages adopters to know about the Anatolian Shepherd breed before adopting. These dogs work as flock guardians, with superior sense of sight and hearing. They are not herding dogs. They are very loyal, alert and capable of great speed and endurance. It is intelligent, alert and easy to train, but is not a dog for beginners. They are watchful and protective. TRAINING IS A MUST.
Mom was a purebred Anatolian and dad was Anatolian and border collie mix. There are 5 boys and 2 girls
The right adopter must use positive training methods with a determined, firm, confident, consistent and loving approach. This breed is patient and protective with children of the family, but because of their size may accidentally knock them down. Children should always be supervised and properly introduced.
Extensive early socialization, obedience training and consistent human leadership are very important when owning an Anatolian Shepherd.
Our pups are rescued from shelters that are forced to put animals to sleep every day because of limited space and resources. There are way too many dogs being born into unwanted and unhealthy conditions. MuttSavers pups are so happy to be rescued. They are receiving TLC in foster care and and are looking forward to meeting you this Sat.
Approx 10-12 wks
