7/28/11 - Hey Yall!!! Mollie May here
.
I just wanted to send you a quick update on my status as I have been extremely busy playing with my Fur-Foster Sisters. From my new picture, you can see that my leg is completely healed!!! I am such a happy girl these days, especially since I can run and play again. I love to play fetch, tug of war and hide-and-seek with my Fur-Foster Sisters. I have become quite spoiled while staying at my foster house. I love to snuggle up with you on the couch and in the bed too if you like. Ive heard that I give great kisses and I will roll over for a belly rub too. I am proud of my potty trained status and I will only bark if the doorbell rings. Because of my playful attitude, Foster Mommy says I would do great in a home with children and/or other dogs. Ok, well I gotta RUN
literally!!!
If you think you could love me Fur-Ever, please come calling so Yorkie Haven Rescue can save another pups life!
And so my story goesÂ
My name is Mollie May and I am one lucky girl. I was rescued from the animal shelter 24 hours after having been hit by a car. I was scheduled for euthanasia when Foster Mommy came calling. I was so glad to see her because I had been put on the cold floor of a kennel and couldnÂt move for a whole day.
Foster Mommy picked me up and took me straight to the Dogtor. Unfortunately, it was confirmed that I had a broken femur and my acetabulum was broken in three places. I was in pretty rough shape, so the Dogtor said I needed to have surgery at an orthopedic specialistÂs office. Foster Mommy and I loaded back up in the car and drove to the orthopedic specialistÂs office where I had surgery the following day. I had to stay overnight for monitoring and pain medicine another two nights after surgery. Finally, Foster Mommy came back to pick me up and took me homeÂ
HOMEÂ
what a nice, soft, loving wordÂ
That is actually what I am looking for now, a home that I can call my own and family that will love me forever.
I am recovering well from surgery and am having my staples removed this week. I will have six to eight weeks of recovering time and will be working hard to rehabilitate my leg. I am already putting pressure on my leg to hobble around and go potty outside. I am a very sweet girl who loves to give kisses and wag my tail when you call my name. I am a happy little girl and love to watch my foster sisters play fetch. I am looking forward to the day that I can play fetch again. In the meantime, I will be resting my leg and counting my blessings for Yorkie Haven Rescue. If it wasnÂt for them, I wouldnÂt be here todayÂ
If you think you could love me and my scar, please submit an application to adopt me. I would love to join your family.
