Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
"GAVIN" -- is a gorgeous little tricolored male Border Collie mix. He is about 18 months old, and has a smooth coat and prick ears. He is in rescue after being picked up as a stray. Gavin in neutered, up to date on his shots, heartworm negative and on preventative. He is on the smaller side, about 35lbs., is crate trained and housebroken, and quiet in his crate. He is a quick and eager learner, and responds very well to positive training methods. Gavin gets along with other dogs. He loves to go for rides in the car and is learning agility. Gavin has the potential to be a great agility dog, he is lightening quick and can jump like a gazelle. He loves the snow. He is awesome at heeling and his recalls are good without distractions. He is a very active, busy little dog, although he will settle nicely to snuggle and watch TV on the couch beside you. He is very affectionate. He would also be a great companion in an active home. His foster mom is going to great lengths to expose him to many different situations, and thinks he would be "awesome pet for a family with older children", particularly a family that understands that he is a "soft" dog and knows how to deal with that (in other words, no harsh corrections, just positive training techniques). Obedience school is a must for this boy, and will be a condition of his adoption. Gavin is being fostered in New Hampshire. He has been diagnosed with REM Behavior Disorder which is a sleep disorder and he is on medication to control it. This disorder will not affect Gavin leading a long, happy, active, healthy life and participating in sports if his new owner wishes to do so.
You MUST first fill out an adoption application AND have a home visit BEFORE being considered for any NEBCR dog. As this process can take time, we recommend that you complete these first 2 steps BEFORE inquiring about a specific dog.
