"Oy vay. Shayna Punim!" raves his foster mom. For those of you not up on your Yiddish, translation: "OMG, what a beautiful face." This dog is a heartwarmer. The gentlest little creature who only wants a little food (okay, alot of food) and a little love. What does she have to give: her whole heart, no trouble at all, and non-stop joy. Truffles, so named because of her total sweetness, was abandoned in front of our directors' home. She appeared pregnant to our vet, but it was actually a closed pyometra. So we had the satisfaction of saving her from the streets and immiment death. (Surgery was performed immediately.) No worse for wear, this 5 year old, Corgi mix, 12 pounds, is the perfectly behaved, most well-mannered pet one could ever hope for. No barking, digging, chewing. Trained to stay and come on command. Easy going. Great with other dogs and cats. It doesn't get better than this.
