Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Memphie is a coated Chinese Crested, known as a Powderpuff, and a puppy mill survivor. He has been with us since April 2011, and has come a long way. He was horribly matted, very thin and scared of everything. Memphie's beautiful coat has black and white coloring, although currently he is trimmed to help keep him clean during the rainy/snowy months. He is heartworm negative and UTD on all vaccinations. He is neutered and has had a dental. He is estimated to be 4 years old and his healthy weight is about 12 pounds.
Memphie would do well in a calm home with maybe one other dog or a cat. He can become overwhelmed by too much noise or activity. He has visited in a couple of homes, one with no children and no dogs or cats, and the other with one dog and one cat, and he did wonderfully. He explores with curiosity and quickly makes himself at home. Memphie rides very well in a vehicle, and is house-trained. He prefers to do his potties off-leash, making a fenced yard preferable but not necessary, as he does walk very nicely on a leash. Because of his puppy mill history, a crate is not recommended as a means of containing him when he is home alone. He is generally a calm boy, who does not overuse his voice, making him very suitable for apartment dwellers. He barks only occasionally, and whines when he wants attention or wants to do something. His ideal home would be with someone who is home most of the time, or someone who could take him to work.
Memphie is being fostered in Northeast Tennessee, and due to his history, we will not transport him. He would need to be picked up personally by his adoptive family. Our adoption process involves an application with vet and personal references, a phone conversation, a home visit and an adoption contract. Memphie's adoption fee is $200. Please email us with questions and/or to request an application.
