Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This puppy is about five months old and was rescued just in time. Jordy has been in serious survival mode since the day she was born...up until now, she has not known what it meant in the least to act like a goofy little puppy...her only concerns have been "where is my next meal coming from" and "where will I sleep out of the elements". She was a stray puppy...found by a local, knowing that the mother of Jordy is owned by an irresponsible neighbour, the mother is having litter after litter and the owner doesn't seem to care enough to try and do something about it, let alone care for the dog's puppies in the least after they are born. Apparently there were five puppies in Jordy's litter...but she is the only one lucky enough to have made it to our care. We can only cringe to think where her siblings are, if they even survived. __________________________________________ It's a true mystery as to what makes up Jordy's breeds!! She is a true Heinz 57. All we can share is that she is currently 28lbs and is not expected to get a lot bigger than she is now. She is expected to be a medium sized dog only. It is believed she is mixed likely with a Shepherd of some sort and a smaller breed dog. Her adorable pictures here make her look a bit bigger than she actually is, currently her size can be compared to a Dachshund and in fact, Jordy does in person, appear to have physical traits of a Dachshund. Jordy has the sweetest disposition...she is so submissive and when she is cuddled or shown the least bit of human attention...this dog literally melts like she has died and gone to heaven. The message in her eyes is very clear "LOVE ME AND TAKE CARE OF ME FOREVER!". Jordy likes both men and women, she has not met children while in our care. She likes other dogs completely and has met a cat and was just fine. Jordy loves the inside life and is very good in a crate and will go to her den for a nap. She is doing excellent with housetraining. Jordy does not pull while walking on a leash, butshe is still learning about the world around her and is a bit bewildered on walks yet...but in time she'll be well adjusted! Anyone who has met Jordy just melts...saying she is the sweetest and not to mention the most well behaved dog ever!! Her foster mom says anyone lucky enough to get to adopt her will just be so happy with their little angel girl. If you are interested in applying for Jordy, please email an introduction about yourself and your situation to meg264@hotmail.com and then an application form can be sent. Jordy has been heartworm tested(NEG), first set of vaccines, dewormed and treated with Revolution. She is also being spayed prior to adoption. Her adoption fee is $250.
