My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shelby is a beautiful 2 year old German Shepherd. She lived with her family since she was a puppy. Her elderly "dad" died a year ago and Shelby was too much for her "mom" to handle, She mainly stayed in the yard and received little training and attention. Finally she was surrendered to Animal Control and they called us to help find Shelby a loving new home.




Shelby has a most wonderful temperament: even though she never received much attention she loves everything and everybody. After our volunteer picked her up from the shelter, Shelby accompanied her on the way to pick up the children from school. Shelby loved all the attention. Shelby does well with other dogs and cats too. Since she was neglected by her family, she does not know obedience commands and she is working on this in her foster home. Shelby is very eager to please and is happy to be around people. She is adjusting quckly to her new life. She is in a good shape and has a beutiful, thick and shiny coat, She needs to lose some weight and she is working on that in her foster home. Shelby is looking for a family that will love her forever and teach her the ropes of being a cherished pet.




Shelby is healthy, up-to-date on shots and she will be spayed next week.
