My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Freckles was picked up on a cold, rainy night at the end of Webster Rd. in Ellington (almost into the State Forest). He sat on someone's front steps at one of the few houses on the end of the dirt road. He tried desperately to get someone to let him in but he was so matted and muddy he had to wait until Animal Control arrived. After bringing him to the dog pound it was found that he had a microchip. The mircrochip was registered to a resident of Rockville, CT, ten miles from where he was picked up. After trying several phone numbers and visiting the residence to which the microchip was registered, no owner was located. IIt now looks like poor Freckles had been discarded and left to fend for himself in the middle of nowhere. We are still searching for the whereabouts of his owners. The contact names we have are Julie St. Amand, Jeffrey Spencer or Stacey Perrone. The Address where he was registered is at 96 High ST. Rockville (Vernon) CT. Anyone with information on any of these people should contact Ellington Animal Control at 80-870-3155.
With the understanding that his missing owners will not be found we are prepared to find Freckles a suitable home. He is a cute Cocker Spaniel with a nice temperament. He has been given a bath and is being treated for eye, ear and skin conditions. This great little dog would be happy to start over with a new life in a new home.
