My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Amelia is a mild-mannered, gentle girl who, once she gets to know you, will try to wiggle up onto your lap for cuddles and to give soft kisses. She has a natural "worried" expression on her face at all times, accentuated by adorable Boxer underbite and "smooshiness" (that's a technical term :) ). Amelia survived tragedy at a rural shelter, and we have no idea what else she has gone through in her young life. She appears to have been bred before, and was heartworm positive when rescued. However, she is ready to put the past behind her, and find a loving forever home that won't feel bad for her or dwell on her sad history. This delicate lady would love a calm and compassionate home who understands that she can be bashful when meeting new people, and can work on building her confidence. She is a lil' diamond in the rough and very much worth it!
