Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet irresistible Zoie!! Just three months old, Zoie is a lively, curious, darling little smooth coat purebred pup. We heard about Zoie when she ended up at a shelter one week after being bought from a Walmart parking lot and the "buyers" decided they did not have time for her ... UGH!! We are happy to report that this little girl is now safe and sound with WBCR, getting her feet under her, and growing and learning every day!!
Adorable Zoie is an aware, alert, and sensitive little lass and although she enjoys the company of both humans and canines, she can be a little timid upon meeting new ones, especially if they are overzealous. After she trusts she is safe, she lightens up and enjoys playing with other dogs. She lives happily with three other dogs in her foster home, likes to tug and play fetch, but prefers to chase the other dogs and take away the toy! Like all puppies, Zoie is full of energy and thrives on activity and action. After she has burned off some of her endless energy, Zoie is happy to settle down, as well as cuddle, be held, and soak up the love her people shower on her! Zoie can live peaceably with dog-savvy cats. She is supposedly from working parents, shows quite a bit of herding instinct, and is interested in movement as well as the livestock in her foster home.
It should come as no surprise that this little squirt is as bright as she is adorable, too. She’s already cratetrained, nearly housetrained, and working on the basics in her foster home. Zoie is still just a puppy and will need everything a puppy needs: lots and lots of socialization, continued training, and adopters who have the time and energy to raise a young one right!. Given her sensitivity and lack of confidence, Zoie surely needs a gentle hand when it comes to training, and will thrive with an adopter who uses reward based, positive reinforcement methods.
All in all, Zoie is a winning BC puppy with all the typical BC traits. She oozes potential – in the hands of someone who is willing to give her a little boost in the confidence department and who has the time and energy to devote to raising this little gem, we think she’s going to grow up to be an amazing dog. If you are looking for a lively pup to raise to be your constant companion in this adventure called life, Zoie may be the one for you.
Zoie is current on vaccinations and deworming. Her adoption will include a $100 spay deposit in addition to the adoption fee; the deposit will be cheerfully refunded to her adopter once proof of spay is provided (when Zoie is ~6 months old). She is living in a loving foster home near Salt Lake City, UT.
