Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Red is available for adoption
Red was surrendered by his owner when it came time for her to move into an apartment that does not allow pets. This neutered male, is just 2 years young and full of fun. He has no health concerns but he could stand to lose a little weight (those love handles do not fit his handsome profile)!! He is up-to-date on all vaccines and is micro-chipped. The doctor has prescribed a life time of running, jumping, long walks, ball chasing.
Red is housetrained, knows sit and lay down. He enjoys doggie backpacking while on his walks and tends not pull when attached to a Gentle Leader/Halti. His new owners should plan to continue working with him on his obedience. Squirrels and critters are like toys to Red, and he thinks they would be nice to eat. Cats are an unknown, but I am pretty certain that small animals are not a good idea. Red does like dogs, but his vocal excitement and rather large size may be viewed as intimidating, so larger, playful dogs who like to romp would be nice companions for him.
A happy, active household, preferably with an older dog savvy child (7and up) would be ideal. He will need a family who will devote time to play with him until he's tired. He would love to have a “stay at home mom or dad” and if that is not possible he is learning what it means to be in a crate while at his foster home. Red can be vocal, so apartment life would be a challenge. A house with a large fenced yard would be a wonderful environment to romp with Red.
Red has enough love to melt your heart away. He's is 113lbs of pure happiness.
