My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATED BIO 10/9/2011: Reesie here! Sorry it's been so long for an
update! My foster mommy said that people needed to hear from me every
once in a while. So here it goes.....

I am a sweet little girl but I do take a while to warm up. I tend to
bond more with women, but over time I have learned to love my foster
daddy too. I am sweet and do my business outside or on a wee wee pad.
I only bark when someone is creeping outside or comes to the door. I
like to sleep almost on my foster mommy's head, sharing her pillow. I
just love my new life, but foster mommy says I need to go to make room
for more babies like me. Could you be the family I have been waiting
for?

So, what don't I want? Well, I love the backyard, but I don't NEED it
if you walk me lots. I love other dogs, but I don't NEED them to have
fun (just play with me). I am a little skittish and don't think I'd
like a home with those little two legged small humans. I think they
call them kids. It's not that I would snip. I am just still getting
used to life outside a cage and they move too quickly for me! Can you
come get me already??
UPDATED BIO 07/04/2011: My name is Reesie. I am 5 years old and weigh a skinny 6 lb. I was raised by a breeder, but when he decided to cut back, two of the girls and I were surrendered to UYR so that we could have a happy life and retire from puppy-making. I'm very cute, don't you think? Well, I am still a little timid from those 5 years without a lot of socialization to the outside world. I like other dogs a log, but I am not always super playful. I'd prefer to play with toys with my human. FM doesn't know why, but I haven't bonded much with FD. Maybe I prefer females? I potty outside or on wee wee pads. Please don't expect me to understand the difference between a rug and a wee pad just yet. I am going to need someone with patience, but I promise you won't be sorry! xoxo - Reesie... Oh, and it's not that I want to bite kids.... I'd just prefer not so much noise!

UPDATED BIO 05/30/2011: Reesie is a gorgeous little 6 lb 5 year old little girl who is being fostered in Key West, FL. She is having a blast and is loving life as a house-dog. She is housetrained to go outside (or wee wee pads..... carpets beware. They look just like wee wee pads). She is smart and sweet. She occasionally plays with the other dogs in the home but is MUCH more interested in following around FM like glue.

We are seeking a loving, patient home where Reesie can blossom into a more confident little girl. Another dog is not a necessity. A backyard with a fence would be nice. She is learning to walk on a leash and is a wonderful little lap dog. Thanks for reading about her!

INITIAL BIO 04/22/2011: Reesie is a lovable 5.8 lb (skinny) 5 year old little girl who is being fostered in Key West, FL.

Nika, Natti, and Reesie were surrendered by their breeder. They are all gorgeous little girlies who do not have a mean bone in their body. They are, however, very timid. Reesie is the least timid of the three and will approach you and wag her tail. She still has a long way to go before she becomes the confident, comfortable little girl she is destined to be.

Reesie is a sweet girl. She will give kisses too and doesn't mind being held as much as Natti and Nika do. However, please note, like the others, Reesie has never walked on a leash. She is not currently potty trained. She is afraid of loud noises and new people. Anyone who applies to adopt Reesie must know that she can NOT go to a home with children under 12 years as she may run out the door, she doesn't like fast moving children, and wouldn't do well in a loud, noisy home. A backyard would be preferred since she does not know how to walk on a leash. Her FM is working on that with her, but in the meantime, any adopter who wishes to make Reesie their Princess must know that a patient, loving, calm home is where these girls will flourish. Also, a home in which training can continue will be best as well. We will be working on socializing the girls to the outside world, outside noises, and other people/animals. They like other dogs and right now are too nervous to be outside to be able to tell whether or not they mind cats.

Thank you for reading about Reesie. She will have bloodwork done, be spayed, have her shots updated, and have her teeth cleaned this week.
