Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Amazing Grace is her name, aka "Gracie". She was found just hours old on a concrete driveway in the dead heat of August with no mother or littermates in sight. (birthday 8/22/06) Amazing that she survived her birthday ordeal. She is now 7 wks old and quite a spunky little girl. She is believed to be a golden retriever mix. She was well socialized since birth with dogs, cats, kids. She is crate trained and partially potty trained already. Gracie is timid at times with people grabbing her suddenly probably because she wasn’t ever roughed up by her canine mom or littermates. Her nursing foster, Virginia, would bottle feed her and rock her to sleep so she tends to be on the “spoiled” side. It’s kind of hard not to spoil her though. She never had a mom to love and care for her so we took great strides in giving her all she needed and then some.
Gracie just received her first round of shots, dewormed, and was examined by our attending vet who said she looks great. It is required that Gracie be spayed at 6 months old. Her coat is a beautiful sable/amber with white on the tip of her tail and highlights on her chest. She may be 50-60 lbs when in adulthood, but we are not certain considering we do not know her pedigree. She was rescued by her GSGRR foster mom, Angela, who has many more birth pictures of Gracie so you can have when she is a member of your family to add to your scrapbook. Many rescues have unknown history, but not in Gracie’s case. We have bottle fed her since hours old and have photo documented ever step of her development to date.
Fill out an application today so Gracie can be your amazing grace. Any questions, you can email her foster mom directly at homewardboundz@aol.com.
Please note the following: if air travels is required for adoption, then Gracie needs to be 10-12 weeks for her health certificates and vaccines to board a pet cargo airliner. She is currently being foster in Louisiana.
