My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Travis is a beautiful dog! He came from the Nash County Animal Shelter in North Carolina. He resembles a Bernese Mountain Dog, though smaller. Estimated age is 2 1/2 to 3 yo. Although he looks like a large dog with all that hair, he is actually under 60 pounds. Personality wise, he is very sweet, submissive, playful, loving, and very laid back. He is not a barker...I have never heard a single bark out of him in the two months since he came here to live. Travis LOVES water, so a kiddie pool or access to a pond would be a major plus!!! Although he has not been around cats or children I don't think there would be any issues as he is just a very happy-go-lucky dog. He does get along with other dogs. Travis has been neutered and was treated for heartworms. He also had Entropian which is when the lower eyelids turned inward causing the eyelashes to rub on his eyes. This was corrected at the same time as his neuter surgery. Travis is now up-to-date on his shots, on monthly heartworm preventative and microchipped. We prefer Travis to go to a loving indoor/outdoor home where he will be welcomed as a member of the family. He is partially housetrained so he will still need some guidance in this area.
