My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Look at that precious face! Matilda is a very nice 7-year-old Lab X, whose family of 5 dogs and 2 people broke up. She was the only one that had to be surrendered to a rescue group. Very sad. We have had Matilda for over a year, and although she is very happy with her foster home, she deserves to have a loving, forever home.

Matilda likes to snuggle and is very sensitive. She loves to be pet and will vocalize her pleasure when you do so.

She gets along with other dogs and cats and kids. She needs a fenced in yard because she will run off if not contained. A tennis ball is her favorite toy and she enjoys playing fetch or just showing it off.

Matilda had the run of the house when her owners were gone and she did fine. She is crate trained and she is housetrained. She prefers to sleep on the couch or the bed.

We have worked on the basic obedience commands with her. She is very eager to please for that treat! She knows SIT, DOWN, COME pretty well and we are working on WAIT so she won't bolt out of the door. She really enjoys her daily walks! She's such a good dog!

Matilda is a very special girl and deserves a wonderful forever home to spoil her rotten. She is a very easy dog who will fit into any household very easily. Who wants to be her special home?

This dog's adoption fee is $200 (plus tax). This includes being spayed/neutered, current on Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations, wormed, microchipped with the HomeAgain microchip, heartworm tested (negative) and medicated with Heartguard monthly while in our care, comes with a Gentle Leader headcollar (if we feel it is needed), and is currently learning Basic Obedience commands and good doggie manners.

The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an application. If you'd like to have an application emailed to you, just email us. Thank you!
