My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Ursa. I am a German Shorthaired Pointer. I had a family for my first 3 years but when they tired of giving me medication for my seizure disorder twice a day, they took me to the vet to be euthanized.


Luckily the Vet Tech contacted Chances & they rescued me so I could have a second chance at a happy family! Will it be you? I do need to be given phenobarbital twice a day, 12 hours apart. The cost should be less than $10/month.



I am a very friendly, playful girl. I can always be found with my orange retriever roll or a tennis ball. I LOVE to play fetch. I will either hand you the ball or drop it at your feet. Come on in and play!

Chances is a newly formed no-kill 100% volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit Animal Rescue. Chances is dedicated to helping unwanted and abandoned animals facing euthanasia by giving them a chance at a new life.
