Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I call this guy Murphy. I named him something Irish because he got lucky the day I grabbed him from a bad situation. Some potential clients of mine had a litter of pups from their female German Shepherd and male Golden Retriever. The parents were in horrible condition as were the 2 pups they had, but mom and dad were sweet and would have been beautiful dogs with some TLC. One of the pups died and Murphy was the only one left living under their trailer. I had gone to their home on St Pat's Day to inspect for insurance coverage and instead left with a worm-filled, flea-bitten, sad-looking puppy. They said he was 10wks old and that would make him 13wks now. They actually wanted me to give them $100 and I talked them into just letting me take him because he was obviously sick with parasites. He is healthy now and full of himself. Very sweet and smart and already doing well in the house and working on crate training, walking on leash, socializing at Pet store and parks, etc. He is very good with other dogs and I have a big Maine Coon cat that's teaching him the ropes with kitties! He is inquisitive with cats and I do get after him sometimes for being a little too pushy at times. But, he's just a pup and learning. He listens very well and is very much wanting to please. He loves to play, fetch tennis balls, play tug with my old Golden Sam, and he knows how to sit and is learning down.
He has had 2 vaccinations now, has been de-wormed 2x, and has had Advantage applied for fleas/ticks/mites. He has enjoyed 2 baths and loves water. I expect he is going to be an excellent swimmer. Very confident puppy with medium level energy. He weighs approx. 30lbs now and is growing!! I think he will max out at about 90lbs.
I want this boy to have a loving home. He is good with kids under supervision. He has sharp puppy teeth and still is a little mouthy so, kids would be great but an experienced parent that understands puppy behavior would be a must until he outgrows his playful mouthing. He is around my 2 yr old nephew and 5 yr old niece a lot and loves to play with them.
I will have him neutered in a few weeks and this will be done before he goes to a new home. I am asking a $150 re-homing fee to ensure he goes to a good home. ONLY people looking for an indoor home and/or family companion need inquire. My dogs live with me not in the yard or in a dog house. I want Murphy to be with his people as dogs should be.
Thanks for reading.
