Look at this adorable pair! Sally and Sumner are between one and two years old but they look and act like kittens. We’re not sure if they are litter mates, but they definitely are very good buddies and we’re looking for a home where they can always stay together.
In addition to having the cutest face ever, Sumner has the typical orange tabby personality: he hasn’t met any critter he doesn’t like, including the two-leggeds and the four-leggeds. He didn’t waste any time getting to know the other cats in his foster home, and he’s happy to hang out with the big happy dog, as long as he can stay clear of the big wagging tail. Sumner also loves treats, toys, head butts, belly rubs, and just about everything else he encounters on his travels around the house. He’s happy to greet guests, show them where to sit and where the toys are kept. He doesn’t mind being picked up and carried around, within reason of course.
Sally is a perfect mix of tabby and tortoiseshell personalities—a little bit country and a little bit rock ‘n roll. Her specialty is hunting down and killing small round things that rattle as they move. She also is a very dedicated typing assistant and for those who spend time at a keyboard, she may help you create a new alphabet. She also likes her drinking water really fresh—she’ll get right in the sink and drink from the faucet, if she can. Sally loves to chase and tumble with Sumner, but when she’s ready for a break to go powder her nose and tidy up, she doesn’t have any problem giving him a bop on the nose to remind him who’s the boss of this outfit! And speaking of outfits, look at her gorgeous markings: it looks like she’s wearing a cape draped over one side of her, with a brown tabby leg in front and an orange tabby leg in back.
Both Sally and Sumner love to sit in the window and watch the birds and squirrels. They are very good about using their scratching post instead of the furniture, and have impeccable litter box habits. They are a bit on the small side for full grown cats, but they are active and need a home where they have space to romp, with furniture that is cat friendly, and not a lot of delicate objects. They also expect to sleep on the bed with their people.
Sally and Sumner, like all ARCF cats for adoption, have been spayed or neutered, microchipped, are up to date on vaccines, and have tested negative for FeLV and FIV.
