My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maddie will need a fenced yard, as she does not like bicycles and lawn tractors. Other than that, Maddie is a gentle giant. She has never met a person or animal she does not like. Maddie does have the herding instinct that a Rott should have. If she feels there is trouble, she will use her body as a shield and to guide her person to safety. Maddie loves small children, but a 102-lb. dog trying to push a child to safety can sometimes be scary for the child. Because of this, we will only place Maddie in a home with children over 5.

Maddie is a very affectionate girl and loves cuddling. She enjoys hanging out with her people as much as she can and she likes to play fetch. Maddie also likes to roam the house freely at night so that she can go in and out of everyone’s room to check on them while they are sleeping.

Maddie will be 2 in May of 2007. She is house trained and scratches the door to go out. She does not use a crate and can roam freely in the house. She knows commands such as come, sit, down, no, off, out. Maddie is up to date on everything, is spayed, on heartworm prevention, frontline flea & tick prevention, and has been microchipped.
