Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Sybil aka "Ellie", a VERY cute 9 month old border collie (we think she is purebred, and she certainly acts like 100% border collie!). Ellie has a black and white, medium coat with alot of ticking (freckles). Ellie was turned into a shelter in December, because her owner was moving to an apartment. Ellie sat in the shelter for 3 months, we rescued her last week. She's been spayed, microchipped and is now in a foster home with 5 dogs, 3 cats, and some farm critters as well.
It took a day for Ellie to figure out that jumping the resident dogs unprovoked was going to get her nowhere, and the behavior has stopped (keeping our fingers crossed!). We will continue to work on this on a daily basis. Ellie will get LOTS of exposure to dogs in all types of settings, so she can be rewarded for making the correct choices, and be told that when she makes the wrong choice, there will be consequences. She has not put her teeth behind her move....it's definitely all an act at this point. We are going to make sure it doesn't continue!
She is potty trained, crate trained, walks pretty good on leash, and....has PHENOMENAL toy play. She does seem to know sit, and drop, she has a GREAT retrieve. Working on the recall, not 100% yet, but hopefully soon. She has been wonderful with all the people she has met since being in rescue, she is the herdy type of border collie, we'll see how she does with running children soon. We will also do some herding testing on her, she looks like she might do well on stock.
She is just a pup, but can lie down and just chill easily. She's learning what good girl means, and what "HEY" means, and she's a VERY quick learner. She is built like a gazelle, would make a FABULOUS agility prospect, or really, any dog sport.
More on Ellie as we get to know her better, if you are interested in specifics, let us know, we'd love to tell you about our girlie!!!
Contact Karen if you are interested in Ellie.
