This little 8-10 year old fella was surrendered without a name to a high kill gassing shelter by his owner, with permission to destroy for the reason "owner does not have time to spend with him". Being a purebred, chances are his conception was not an accident (and most likely his birth was even celebrated), but after eight years he evidently had become an inconvenience. Confused with his sudden abandonment and frightened in his new surroundings, Bob wasn't 'friendly' toward the animal control staff, and therefore was deemed non-adoptable. With the clock ticking his only hope was rescue. Free from the menacing environment of the pound his friendly personality shines, and because of this (and a physical resemblance he has with the family dog in the film' Harry & the Hendersons') it was decided the name "Lil Bob" would suit him. He's a spry, tiny little guy (weighing only 4-5 pounds), and is in excellent health. Lil Bob has lots of energy, and delights in running & pushing a giant ball around the yard, and in playing fetch with a tennis ball. He also enjoys snuggling, and has the sweetest way of sleeping with a paw covering his nose. Lil Bob is house and crate trained, and gets along well with other dogs.... and even cats. He is not destructive and doesn't suffer with any anxieties or phobias. Lil Bob is friendly to all people, but would do best in a home with children over the age of 4. So if you're looking for a seasoned companion to share your life journey with, it could be Lil Bob is just the ticket ! He's all ready, with his bags packed. Check out a couple more photos
