My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Max was surrendered to a local shelter when he was just 7 months old. His owner was moving and couldn't take him along. Days turned into weeks, weeks into months, and by the time Countrydogs rescued him he had been homeless for over 9 months. Max has won the hearts of countless people, including shelter employees, animal control officers, and volunteers. He received some interest from potential adopters but always lost out to another dog. Everyone knew that his time at the shelter could not go on forever, and many people vowed to make sure that nothing bad would happen to him. Max has a real chance now! He loves everyone and is the definition of "dog friendly". He gets along good with cats, is playful, athletic, and attentive. Max is also a snuggler who loves his scratches and rubs. We are allowing him to be a regular dog again and he is shaping into an even better dog than I had hoped. Max has paid his dues with interest, all he needs now is a permanent loving home.
