Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Izzi, a gorgeous 8 yr. old Peke, is a super sweet little girl. She usually has no issues with the other dogs, but will defend her person or position. Izzi loves to take all of the toys out of the toy box and then decide what she will play with. Now playing with the other dogs, she is very vocal which sometimes scares the others away. They will play after they get used to her play growling. She also plays well by herself. She eats with the other dogs, but will not share and will defend her bowl.
Izzi loves to sleep on the bed and cuddle. She also likes to lay on your lap any time the opportunity arises. She has a petite face and is a teeny 8 pounds. She also is totally housebroken in spite of our other dogs "mentoring." If I didn't have all the other rescue dogs, Izzi would be one that I would keep!
As loveable and affectionate Izzi is, she is NOT good with children, so only homes with teens or older will be considered. Per her previous owner, she also has very occasional seizures (the "curse of the Pekingese") but is not on any medication because of the rarity.
Izzi is being fostered in Emmaus, PA and her asking adoption fee is $175.
E-MAIL INQUIRIES WILL BE RESPONDED TO MUCH FASTER THAN TELEPHONE CALLS!
Please read about adopting from us on our home page by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page.
NOTE: Due to the volatile price of gas, getting multiple volunteers to help with long distance transporting is no longer feasible. We have listed the town and state . The foster home will usually volunteer to help with transport for a reasonable distance. where each dog is being fostered. Please consider how far you are willing to travel when filling out the application.
