My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cleo is young but life has already been not very kind to this beautiful gentle soul. We don’t know how she ended up in a high rural kill shelter,at the age of 2 in North Carolina, but she did. And she was not alone, she had puppies. Not many dogs left this kill shelter alive, but Cleo’s puppies did. That left Cleo alone, waiting to see if her life was going to end at this horrible place. At the last minute Cleo was rescued, thanks to the work and coordination of many people in several states. She headed up on the 15 hour trip to Chicago and here she is! She has so much energy and love to give and is just waiting for someone to give it to! Cleo likes some dogs but not all. She is looking for a home where she can go on long walks or run around the yard and play. Please ask to meet her as she is currently in a kennel and is the dog in Ralphie’s Place who most urgently needs to find a home
