Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
PLEASE read the entire posting prior to contacting us!
Meet Gus! Gus is a 16 week old little bundle of energy who was surrendered by a family whom had purchased him from a breeder, and then found out that he had some health problems that they were not able to afford to take care of.
The original diagnosis was a diaphragmatic hernia, but our vet found out once in surgery that it was not the case. He has something known as "flat chest syndrome". It can not be surgically repaired, but our vet thinks that as he develops it will get better. (You can google the term for more information on this condition).
He is doing well post-op and had his stitches removed. He was also nuetered and had an elongated pallate repaired while in surgery. The vet expects that he will have some upper respiratory flare ups throughout his life, so he will need a close eye kept on him, but with proper care, he should do just fine. Adopters MUST keep in mind that there is a potential that he will need more frequent vet care than the average dog due to his condition.
He needs an experienced, loving home, who will work with him on potty training, obedience training, socialization, etc, all the things that puppies need to become wonderful little dogs (not that he is not already wonderful!).
He is VERY playful, and just like any puppy his age, he likes to try to get into everything, its all fun and games to him. You will definitely need to puppy-proof your home! He's a real sweetheart and loves everyone, likes to chase the cats around, and has no fear of anything!
We will NOT ship dogs, you must be within a reasonable driving distance (to be determined by us) from Southeast Michigan to be considered to adopt him.
His adoption fee is $800.00 to help with his vet bills since he has been in rescue.
If you are interested in adopting Gus and giving him a FOREVER home, please FIRST, fill out the online application at www.rescuebulldogs.org and then send an email to let us know you are interested.
