Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mia is about 20 months old. She is very shy and timid when she first meets you but once she trusts you she is extremely loving and playful and fun. She is a great jumper and loves to be in your lap and snuggle and give kisses. She dances on her hind legs and waves with her front paws when she is happy and excited to see you. She loves toys and will play fetch for as long as you throw the toy. Her eyes light up when she knows it is play time or time to eat. She prefers to spend time in the backyard chasing butterflies and enjoying the sun instead of going for walks. For Mia, walks are more stressful than fun because she is very skittish and does not like meeting people or animals along the way. She is a great eater and a great sleeper. She is crate trained and sleeps in her own bed, although she would love to sleep with her human if given the opportunity. She will play with her foster sister but would do best as the only dog because she tends to get territorial and jealous and will snap at other dogs if they come near her, her food or her stuff. She would also do best in an adult home with someone who can be home with her most of the time, although she is comfortable being in her crate if you are gone for a few hours. As an only dog, she is absolutely wonderful. She just wants to have someone to love and play with and be their best friend. If you are looking for a forever companion and would like to meet Mia, please send in your completed application found at our web site www.RescueAChi.com and we will give you a call to set up a time. You can also check out our calendar of events on the web site to see where our next adoption event will be to meet Mia in person.
